Enjoy this report of a recent zombie gathering in Seattle. A showing of Shaun of the Dead, a performance by comic-book rockers Kirby Krackle, a “Thriller” tribute dance with 2,000 zombies and a total of 4,000 zombies trying for a world-record zombie walk. Damn, Seattle knows how to (undead) party! (Undead Anonymous)
A couple of new stills from Zombie Women of Satan, a movie about a rock singer squaring off against a burlesque troupe populated by zombie women of Satan (okay…) and a few from The Horde, a cops vs. gangsters vs. zombies epic from Xavier Gens, the director of Frontier(s). Both are screening at the Film 4 FrightFest in England. (Dread Central)
Hi-def undead fans should rejoice at Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue coming to Blu-ray. Its list price will be about $30 and it’s going to come with a featurette with director Jorge Grau, interview with star Ray Lovelock and lots of other good stuff. This one is a favorite (review here), but I wish they were releasing it under the alternate (and far superior, in my opinion) title Let Sleeping Corpses Lie. (DVD Active)
Highly anticipated Spanish zombie sequel REC 2 will premiere at Sitges, a Spanish genre festival. Makes sense. (Horror Squad)
More zombie toys! This time is is King Zombie from DeadWorld, from Shocker Toys. (Dread Central)
After seeing the trailer for Jennifer’s Body, I can say pretty authoritatively it is not a zombie movie. So no embed, but hey, here’s a link so you can judge for yourself. (Shock Till You Drop)
