The horror-comedy-romance novel Breathers: A Zombie’s Lament by S.G. Browne is getting adapted for the screen. Geoff LaTulippe is writing the screenplay, Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body) will produce. (If Magazine)

The zombie apocalypse comes to the Roaring ’20s (that’s the 1920s) in We Will Bury You, an upcoming comic miniseries from genre actress Brea Grant (Midnight Movie, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, Heroes) and her brother Zane Grant. Shock Till You Drop has an interview with Brea that goes into the details. (Shock Till You Drop)

Resident Evil: Afterlife has been re-rescheduled and is now on track for release September 10, 2010. (Shock Till You Drop)

Zone of the Dead, a Serbian zombie film starring none other than Ken Foree (Peter from Dawn of the Dead!), hasn’t seen release in the US but the filmmakers are going ahead with a sequel called Wrath of the Dead, which will once again star Foree. Maybe we’ll get a  sweet two-pack offer when they’re both available! (Dread Central)

One man’s account of the zombie apocalypse on Twitter caught the eye of a major daily newspaper. (Washington Post)

There’s a trailer for the fan-made Left 4 Dead live-action film. You can find it after the break. (Zombie Command)

Finally, after the break you can also find a brand-new trailer for Atom the Amazing Zombie Killer, an upcoming film made right here in my own hometown of Denver, Colorado. It’s kind of a Big Lebowski meets Night of the Living Dead in Troma style thing.
