I originally passed on this news when the game still needed some polish, but after a little bit of what I can assume was code revision, Streetview Zombie Apocalypse looks pretty good now. The game uses Google Maps to put you in your favorite area and then puts a bunch of zombies around you that you must run from. (GamePro)

It might be a Constantine rip off, but Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, based around the Italian comic book, looks pretty awesome. We’ve got some production stills that show off a rather broody Brandon Routh. (Bloody Disgusting)

AMC is airing a Walking Dead marathon March 4 (this Friday) starting at 8:00 Eastern, and each episode is going to be loaded with behind the scenes commentary and extras from the cast and crew. It’s a good chance to re-watch an epic series and maybe find a few things you missed the first time around. (Fangoria)

Indie film Zombie Undead has already received a distribution deal, and now gets to show at the prestigious Fantasporto film festival in Portugal. (BBC)

The Walking Dead has six nominations at this year’s Saturn Awards, and I’d be more excited if it weren’t for the fact that Letters to Juliet and True Grit were also nominated. I don’t mean to be a complete nerd, but what the hell happened to my science fiction, horror, and fantasy awards? (About)

Richard Wolstencroft speaks up about his regrets over the debacle in which his home was raided and he was fined following the airing of LA Zombie. (AVN)

Dread Central is giving away free copies of The Walking Dead on Blu-Ray or DVD. You have to give them your address so be forewarned. (Dread Central)

At a rather boring presentation on RSA security and information technology principles, research director Josh Corman hired a bunch of zombies to interrupt his presentation and attack in what I feel was an effort to keep people awake. Check out the video after the break. (Tripwire)

There’s a cool Angry Birds style game out now for the Droid OS called Stupid Zombies and the best part is that it’s free. (Droid Life)

Well now that it’s been declared that the development studio for Dead Island still owns the film rights, directors are flocking in to be a part of the hype, but the studio isn’t just selling to the highest bidder. (Spong)

Richard Wolstencroft, the Australian man who DARED to show a private screening of the banned Bruce LaBruce film LA Zombie has finally settled with the local government and was ordered to pay $750 to the Royal Children’s Hospital. I’m torn because on one hand a children’s hospital received a charitable donation and on the other hand a dude had his home invaded for showing a movie. (Sydney Morning Herald)

Here’s a new TV spot for The Walking Dead on DVD. Check it out after the break. (Dread Central)

Cory sent me this link to a trailer for a movie that I think is called I Am Here… Now and it’s about a space robot zombie Jesus that kills people, or something. It’s pretty insane, and not exactly safe for work.

Alright, let’s start off the day with a HUGE pile of Dead Island news, which has taken the world by storm after that amazing trailer.

Speaking of movies, Christopher Smith recently gave an interview on his new film Black Death and stated that he was never actually considered to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and read the news on the Internet like everyone else. (Entertainment Weekly)

It looks like The Walking Dead video game will be heavily influenced by the comic book and is scheduled for a Christmas 2011 release. (MTV)

Well, the rumors are true! Telltale games IS developing a new zombie survival game based around The Walking Dead. No word yet as to whether or not the actors from the television series will voice the roles, or how it will compete with the upcoming Dead Island in terms of features. (Digital Spy)

Valve is set to release a new DLC add-on for Left 4 Dead 2 called Cold Stream, which will include all the previous maps from Left 4 Dead as well as the new content which is based upon user mods to the game. Sorry Xbox fans, looks like this one might be PC only. (Gamefocus)

Everyone loves free stuff, and right now you can download a free zombie short story in e-book format called The Dead Rule the Day by Rebecca Carter. (Buy Zombie)

Because I love to try and give you funny videos on Fridays, here’s a live action Minecraft film (after the break) showing just how good a well skilled player can destroy a zombie horde. There’s also a bonus video as well. (Nerd Reactor)

We’ve also got a nice teaser trailer for the Mexican zombie film Los Infectados (The Infected… in case you were wondering) and it looks pretty good. It’s in post production, so expect details in the near future. (Quiet Earth)

Here is a cool photo gallery from Saint Motel’s Third Annual Zombie Prom. I’ll refrain from making a Teenage Wasteland joke. (Guest of a Guest)

Theories of International Politics and Zombies author Daniel Drezner talks at great length about the top secret plans New York has been working on in preparation for the zombie apocalypse. His book and theories are also mentioned elsewhere today. (Foreign Policy, Wall Street Journal)

The Blood Lodge fundraisers have been entertaining to read about thus far, and the newest one is no exception. They’re holding a zombie battle of the bands February 26 at the Beachcomber bar. (News  Transcript)

I don’t get the latest fad that is “Tiger Mothers” but apparently according to this report they’re the perfect parental unit for the inevitable zombie outbreak. (Wired)

Foreign zombie film The Returned is now in pre-production, so let’s hope that works out well for them. (28 Days Later Analysis)

Well it looks like Woody Harrelson has taken one too many bong hits, because according to a recent interview he’s not very interested in a role in Zombieland 2. Apparently he’s “not a sequel guy”. I’d tell him to grow up, but his first name is Woody. (Bloody Disgusting)

This trailer for the upcoming film The Dead Season (after the break) looks pretty good, and well produced, which is always nice when it’s a zombie movie. There’s no release details yet so hopefully they’ll find distribution at a film festival later this year. (Buy Zombie)

This is quite possibly the greatest video game trailer I’ve ever seen. It’s for a new game called Dead Island, and if the promises of drop in multiplayer co-op and stunning visual effects hold true, it will be the greatest video game I’ll ever play. Check out the trailer after the break. (IGN)

We’ve got EVEN MORE pictures from the upcoming Walking Dead toy line, and Rick Grimes looks absolutely fantastic. (Buy Zombie)

Stephen Schlozman, MD and author of The Zombie Autopsies, gives an interesting look into just exactly why we fear the undead. (Kotaku)

David Von Ancken, who directed episodes of Heroes, Memphis Beat, The Vampire Diaries, The Shield, and OZ is set to direct the pilot episode of the new CW zombie teen drama Awakening. Getting a guy who directed a lot of bad canceled shows and one good one (I won’t say which one, and yes, I know that The Vampire Diaries is still on, and that’s a shame) might not be the star power play you’re hoping for, CW. (Bloody Disgusting)

Now there will be no question of what your loved ones should do after you’ve become a member of the undead. The new ZombAlert identifiers give them the option of attempting to cure you, or finishing you quickly. I endorse this product and plan to buy one. (Buy Zombie)

The Dead, a zombie film that’s been making the festival circuit for some time now, has finally picked up distribution through Starz/Anchor Bay. This is actually good news because that means it will hit Netflix instant watch and On Demand early on, giving it a wider audience. (Shock Till You Drop)

Worst Case Scenario was a Nazi zombie film that unfortunately never saw the light of day. It’s been partially resurrected though in the form of Frankenstein’s Army which will borrow some of the main plot points, namely said Nazi zombies. Check out the trailer after the break. (About, Buy Zombie)

A lot of us were disappointed at Night of the Living Dead 3D, despite horror giant Sid Haig’s attempts to make it watchable. Well they’re making a sequel called Night of the Living Dead 3D: Resurrection (part 2: the Return)which will have everything the first movie had, minus Sid. Bummer. (Dread Central)

More pictures were released from the upcoming McFarlane Toys lineup of The Walking Dead figures, including a bad ass Samurai sword wielding Michonne. (Dread Central)
