It looks like Brad Pitt’s baby World War Z might have a chance despite the agreement to a PG-13 rating. Skydance Productions is looking to take up the budgetary slack that Paramount doesn’t want to pay for. (Screen Crave)

Someone has gotten their hands on the first playable demo of Dead Island and after reading this (spoiler filled) amazing and lengthy review it looks to be everything we have been hoping for. (Digital Spy)

For all of you UK zombie fanatics the Leeds Zombie Film Festival will take place April 24. (Digital Spy)

We’ve got some more details about Zombie Pet Shop, an animated film currently in production. It’s looking like it’s going to be an all ages appropriate setting. (UCLA Daily Bruin)

Filmax International announced today that REC 3: Genesis begins production April 4. There’s a lot of other good details about the movie as well. (Bloody Disgusting)

Just a quick update that World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries 2 is now in post production, so hopefully we’ll be getting some good trailers and release info soon. (Dread Central)

I Am Number Four actress Teresa Palmer has scored the female lead in the upcoming zombie romance (yeah, I said zombie romance… It’s going to be horrible) Warm Bodies. (Dread Central)

Two Miami locals are bringing some great home made zombie video goodness to the web with the Zombiecast. (Miami New Times)

Even more details have been released for the upcoming game Dead Island. I hope it’s good, because right now it looks like a mash up of every zombie game ever made. (Game Rant)

They’re re-making the spectacularly crappy Plan 9 from Outer Space and if you live in Virginia they’re casting zombie extras. (On Location Vacations)

WiiWare is releasing what I can only guess is a zombie game based around the Playstation 2 Grand Theft Auto driving engine. It looks pretty terrible, but if you want to check it out for yourself it’s called Zombii Attack. (Dread Central)

Now for a REAL video game, check out the details for the upcoming Resident Evil: Raccoon City due out this Winter. It’s a third person shooter wherein you get to play an Umbrella security guard watching the events from Resident Evil 2 (the best in the series) unfold right before your eyes. (Kotaku)

We found an awesome interview with Melissa McBride, who played the wife beaten, husband decapitating Carol on The Walking Dead. (Dread Central)

After the break we’ve got the latest TV spots for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night. It looks like it’s going to be a nice blend of action and camp, which is the perfect format for Brandon Routh.

Outbreak! Zombies is a cool little game on the Droid marketplace which uses your geographical location to help you fight off the zombie horde. (Droid Gamers)

Steven Schlozman, author of The Zombie Autopsies: Secret Notebooks From the Apocalypse, talks about why we love zombie culture in a piece tailor made to finally explain things to your Grandmother. (USA Today)

There’s been a tiny bit of new information released about the upcoming game Dead Island. The biggest piece of that news is that the family from the trailer will be in the game. (spong)

Either this is the same movie we reported about yesterday or a different movie is filming in Connecticut, but either way they’re going to be casting zombie extras. (Norwich Bulletin)

As if Stephen King writing an episode of The Walking Dead isn’t awesome enough, if the deal goes through he’ll be co-writing it with his equally talented son Joe Hill. (Dread Central)

AMC asked the cast of The Walking Dead about zombie apocalypse preparedness and their answers did not disappoint. (AMC)

Robert Kirkman goes into great length in this interview about zombies, upcoming comic projects, and not realizing just how cool he really is. (Publishers Weekly)

Remains, a zombie movie based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles, is shooting in June in Mystic, Connecticut for the Chiller network. (The Day Connecticut)

Undead Labs gave an awesome rundown of their upcoming zombie MMO on the Xbox Live Arcade platform, complete with some concept art and screen shots. (Dread Central)

World War Z, the film based on the amazing book, is in trouble. Apparently even after agreeing to a PG-13 rating (ugh) Paramount still wants co-financiers to help with the 125 million dollar price tag. (io9)

Thanks to twitter, Sienna Guillory, the actress that played Jill Valentine in previous installments, has leaked some info as to the upcoming Resident Evil sequel. (Bloody Disgusting)

Apparently a zombie hanging from a tree is too much for the ESRB because the Dead Island logo has officially been censored in the US. (Kotaku)

Just a quick note that SyFy (I still hate that name) is planning to launch their made for TV epic Zombie Apocalypse in October, probably to hone in on The Walking Dead ratings. (TV Guide)

If you live in Pittsburgh and you need to know how to defend yourself from the zombie horde then good news! There’s a class that teaches just that. (Dormont Brookline Patch)

Wild Wolf publishing dropped us a line to let us know that Rise and Walk, a novel about a zombie outbreak during a paintball scenario match, just acquired European distribution and will ship in April online and in bookstores.
