Here’s a great write up of a local campus game of Humans vs Zombies at the University of Minnesota. (MN Daily)

Cinematographer Robert Richardson has signed on for World War Z and it’s looking to begin principal photography overseas as early as next month. It looks like it isn’t dead after all. (Screen Junkies)

Everything I read about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City makes it sound better and better. It’s been confirmed in this story that it will be a military squad shooter, but inflicting non lethal damage on your enemies will draw blood, causing rogue zombies to be drawn to whomever you just shot. Well it looks like the deal for the unique zombie movie Maggie has fallen apart, so this gem with an estimated five million dollar production cost is back on the market for any of you big spenders out there. (Ace Showbiz)

Max Adler, the notorious bully on the popular show Glee, just signed up to be one of the undead horde in the upcoming comedy film Detention of the Dead. (Gather)

We’ve got the premiere date, location, and a nice trailer (after the break) for the quirky zombie musical The Dead Inside. (Bloody Disgusting)

There’s some amazing images that were recently released for the upcoming game (that I’m really excited about) Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. (Kotaku)

Alright buckle up because it was a HUGE news weekend for the undead…

When I saw a fake clip for When Harry Met Sally 2 online last Friday, my first thought was “What is this doing on all of the horror news sites?” After I watched it, I realized it was one of the greatest fake trailers I’ve ever seen. Check it out after the break. (Deadline)

There’s some great interviews that came out from the cast of The Walking Dead.

Local campus games of Humans vs Zombies were popular this week as well.

The crew over at Deep Silver just announced a ton of information for their upcoming game Dead Island. There’s pictures, level information, and much, much more. (Dread Central)

If you’re living in some rental flats in Sutton, UK then you’ve got a good chance to be an extra in the upcoming movie Cockneys vs Zombies. (net-lettings.co.uk)

Sad news as another comic book movie looks to be dying prematurely. Zach Galifianakis has dropped out of the Dark Horse adaptation of R.I.P.D. which centers around an undead police department. Ryan Reynolds is still tentatively attached to the project, but recent rumors about a new director for the Deadpool movie and a Green Lantern sequel will undoubtedly pull him off as well. Rigamortis: A Zombie Love Story won the Audience Choice Award at the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival last weekend. (Eastern Iowa Life)

A group of zombies invaded Columbia Park this past Sunday to collect food for the needy. Thankfully they were not allowed to accept brains. (Tri City Herald)

The Kickstarter funded, Connecticut made indie film Zombie Ninjas has been given the proud honor of being the opening number of the Litchfield Hills Film Festival April 7 at the Bank Street Theater in New Milford. (Litchfield County Times)

Charles Band, creator of Evil Bong 3D: Wrath of Bong, gives up the details of his traveling tour to promote the movie. (Dread Central)

Left 4 Dead has been made into a cool live action “choose your own adventure” style game on Youtube. Check it out after the break and see if you can survive. (The Escapist)

Maggie, the the spec script that promises an  innovative and surprisingly new take on the zombie genre as well as a blueprint for making better zombie movies on a lower budget, has finally been purchased after an impressive bidding war. (Deadline)

We’ve got a few details on “The Curea zombie film being shot by local students at the University of Miami. (The Oxford Press)

With every bit of good news for World War Z it seems like there is a mountain of bad news that comes with it. After yesterday’s news that a studio has stepped up to co-fund the film with Paramount, it seems like that offer comes with a hefty catch. John R. Leonetti, director of such flops as Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and The Butterfly Effect 2 will be on a short list to direct the film.
