We’ve got a few shooting details for the Connecticut based zombie film Remains which begins production in June. (The Day)

We’ve got pictures and news from a zombie crawl that took place Memorial Day weekend in Brooklyn. Actually, more than one source reported on this. (Gothamist, CBS Local)

Phoenix Comic Con has been a volcano of awesome news, most notably (for us) was the zombie beauty pageant that took place during the convention. (State Press)

Kevin Bacon told the press that he is a huge fan of the zombie genre in all media forms during an interview for his latest movie X-Men: First Class. (USA Today)

The Walking Dead is currently casting Hershel Greene, his daughter Maggie, and farmhand Otis for the new season of the popular zombie show. I guess that means season two takes place on Hershel’s farm. (Bloody Disgusting)

The popular Wii shooter House of the Dead: Overkill is coming to the PS3 using the new “move” controllers and promises a high definition, extra bloody, zombie shooting good time. (Kotaku)

Well, the PlayStation Network might be undergoing some problems these days, but that doesn’t mean they’re not pumping out great games. Dead Block is a defense building game where you’re constructing a barrier against the undead. Check out the trailer after the break. (PlayStation LifeSyle)

Emma Bell, the beloved sister from The Walking Dead that… well the one that didn’t make it, (seriously, if you haven’t seen the show by now, what are you doing here?) gives a pretty nice interview about her time on the show. (Den of Geek)

Speaking of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman delivers another slam dunk interview that’s amazing and chock full of spoilers for those of you that haven’t come around to reading the comics yet. (AV Club)

Infinite Kung-Fu is a comic about zombies and Kung-Fu. It’s also 464 pages. However you can read 250 of those pages for free, right now! (io9)

Dead Island and the upcoming zombie mmo on the Xbox 360 aren’t the only two games in town. Here’s a full preview, detailed and image heavy, for the PC based survival nightmare that is Dead State. (PC Gamer)

For you hippie music loving types who also like undead panic and good food, ZombieStock will take place July 29 through July 31 in Carlton Oregon. (Buy Zombie)

The team that brought us the quirky stop motion Coraline is back at it with their latest film ParaNorman, another stop motion thriller about a young boy who can communicate with the dead and is tasked to save a town from a zombie invasion. (Dread Central)

Here’s a surprisingly detailed news write up of A Plague So Pleasant, a zombie movie currently being filmed in Athens, Georgia. You may remember Georgia as the film state for other great undead works such as The Walking Dead and Zombieland. (Online Athens)

Speaking of detailed write ups, there’s a lot of good history in this article about the remake of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, and a shocking news update that Danny Elfman (who’s done the music for every one of Burton’s previous works) will score the film. Hey, the dog comes back from the dead. It’s zombie related! Also, I love Frankenweenie and want to see it done like the Nightmare Before Christmas. (Dread Central)

Comic book writer Stephen Lindsay, author of Jesus Hates Zombies, is profiled in this article after his work was recently optioned for a live action film. (Democrat and Chronicle)

Since it’s been a while, here’s a brief update on Juan of the Dead, the first horror movie to come from Cuba in almost fifty years. (The Guardian)

Alright buckle up because it was a HUGE news weekend for the undead…

When I saw a fake clip for When Harry Met Sally 2 online last Friday, my first thought was “What is this doing on all of the horror news sites?” After I watched it, I realized it was one of the greatest fake trailers I’ve ever seen. Check it out after the break. (Deadline)

There’s some great interviews that came out from the cast of The Walking Dead.

Local campus games of Humans vs Zombies were popular this week as well.

The crew over at Deep Silver just announced a ton of information for their upcoming game Dead Island. There’s pictures, level information, and much, much more. (Dread Central)

If you’re living in some rental flats in Sutton, UK then you’ve got a good chance to be an extra in the upcoming movie Cockneys vs Zombies. (net-lettings.co.uk)

Sad news as another comic book movie looks to be dying prematurely. Zach Galifianakis has dropped out of the Dark Horse adaptation of R.I.P.D. which centers around an undead police department. Ryan Reynolds is still tentatively attached to the project, but recent rumors about a new director for the Deadpool movie and a Green Lantern sequel will undoubtedly pull him off as well. The Lancaster Theater Troupe is performing How To Survive A Zombie Apocalype at The Theatre Asylum from June 16 to June26. (Lancaster Guardian)

Indie film Zombie Undead has already received a distribution deal, and now gets to show at the prestigious Fantasporto film festival in Portugal. (BBC)

The Walking Dead has six nominations at this year’s Saturn Awards, and I’d be more excited if it weren’t for the fact that Letters to Juliet and True Grit were also nominated. I don’t mean to be a complete nerd, but what the hell happened to my science fiction, horror, and fantasy awards? (About)

It’s a little haphazard, but I’ve found a nice Q&A with several zombie authors about writing the zombie apocalypse. (Books of the Dead Press)

Nick Nicolaou is working on his latest film, Mary Doe, the first in a trilogy. It’s made entirely using the game engine from Left 4 Dead 2. There’s a trailer and a featurette after the break. I’m a huge fan of machinima so I hope this works out. (Dread Central)

The team that brought us the hilarious webseries Dead Wait have released a trailer for the upcoming second season. (Buy Zombie)

It’s just been announced that The Walking Dead stars Shane (Jon Bernthal) and Andrea (Laurie Holden) will be appearing at C2E2 so bring your autograph books! (Dread Central)

Overkill Entertainment is planning the Ohio Zombie Apocalypse in which you will be able to participate in a staged zombie outbreak similar to the successful event held in Atlanta last year. No word on dates yet, but they’re currently accepting staff applications. (We Zombie)

Dan Drezner wrote a book called Theories of International Politics and Zombies based off of his foreign policy paper. If you’re a fan of politics it’s a really good read and makes some good points in the style of Colbert or Stewart. (Examiner)

Remember that nurse/gang leader from The Walking Dead who has done a LOT of television in his career? Well he talked about being on the show on a podcast recently. (Movie Viral)

Plants vs Zombies is officially coming out for the PS3 with a scheduled release of February 3. (Buy Zombie)
