If you live in the Des Moines area and want to help fund the Orpheum Theater and support charity, then you should check out the annual Marshalltown Zombie Walk which is hoping for a permanent move to the theater. (Examiner)

Former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash has started Slasher Films in an effort to be more like Rob Zombie, I guess. One of the first movies in his bullpen is The Other Kingdom which will feature zombie goodness and what I can only hope will be an awesome soundtrack, if Axl Rose doesn’t sue. (Belfast Telegraph)

If you love zombies and have a kid, then these ZOMBIEZOO toys might be right up your alley. Check out the trailer after the break. (Dread Central)

After the break I’ve got a little video that does a good job of explaining the rising phenomenon that is Humans vs Zombies.

Also I just wanted to remind everyone that Dead Space 2 drops today so you better go buy it or I won’t be your friend anymore.

After the break we’ve got a cool video of the Attack of the Show zombie battle with a surprisingly action packed Kevin Pereira. I didn’t know he had it in him. (The Geek Rebellion)

The Humans vs Zombies movie shoot apparently did a lot of good for the local economy in Pittsburgh over the holidays. I love it when zombies help a town make a buck. (Daily Tribune)

ZomBcon has just been confirmed for a repeat performance! They’ll be holding the second annual undead convention in Seattle October 21 through 23. Here’s hoping for another Bruce Campbell officiated wedding. (ZomBcon)

After a little struggle and some moral high ground. The Dead, the African zombie film, will actually see a US and UK theater release instead of being a direct to dvd distribution. In case you forgot about the movie I’ve tossed the trailer in after the break. (Fangoria)

Lots of good news about Collapse, the zombies-in-Iowa siege film (see our previous Collapse coverage and more previous Collapse coverage). Co-director Jason Bolinger reports via Facebook that the film is cut and is in the midst of color correction, and that it’s scored a composer (Vincent Gilloz) and signed with a producer’s rep company to help sell the film. For more updates, check the Collapse Facebook page.

(Dread Central)

Here in Denver we get a stage production of Night of the Living Dead every year that blends film, theater, farce and zombies (plus a dance number) into one great homage to the classic. I’ve seen it and it is quite enjoyable. (Westword – Show & Tell)
