First off, just to remind everyone, The Walking Dead drops today on Blu-Ray and DVD so make sure to buy it and ensure future seasons. Support the show people!

Lights Out actress Meredith Hanger has joined the cast of Awakening. Let’s hope she’s got enough teen angst. (I promise I’ll stop with the Awakening jokes if the show is good.) (Digital Spy)

Dead Island news was heavy today as it was announced the game would have four player co-op, customizable weapons, and around 30 hours of game play. (Nerd Reactor)

There was a lot of good detail today on the upcoming comedy The Kitchen Sink as several script details were released. There’s a lot of spoilers there as well, so read it at your own risk. (News In Film)

There’s an awesome image preview gallery of the upcoming Ghostbusters Infestation #1 which hits shelves tomorrow. (MTV)

It seems Rose isn’t the only zombie puppet musical in town. After the break, check out this trailer for Misfit Heights. (Buy Zombie)

Lucy Griffiths, who recently played Marian in the BBC version of Robin Hood, has landed one of the lead roles in the upcoming CW teen drama Awakening. (Digital Spy)

Sony pictures has locked in a September 14, 2012 release date for the latest in the Resident Evil franchise called Resident Evil Begins. No word as to whether or not it will be a reboot. (Dread Central)

Robert Kirkman gives a lengthy interview about The Walking Dead season 2 (which comes out in October unfortunately) and the upcoming video game. (Buy Zombie)

You know that awesome trailer for Dead Island everyone was raving about for the last two weeks? Turns out none of that is in the actual game. I’m starting to think this was all a ploy to make a movie and a crappy game will be released around the same time. (Kotaku)

After the break check out this tech demo for Zombie Holdout, which will employ the Microsoft Kinect to put you on the frontline of the zombie apocalypse. (Buy Zombie)

Also after the break we’ve got the US trailer for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night featuring a Constantine-esque Brandon Routh. (Ain’t It Cool News)

There’s a growing game of Humans vs Zombies that will take place March 30 through April 9 on the George Washington University campus. (GW Hatchet)

There’s a cool Angry Birds style game out now for the Droid OS called Stupid Zombies and the best part is that it’s free. (Droid Life)

Well now that it’s been declared that the development studio for Dead Island still owns the film rights, directors are flocking in to be a part of the hype, but the studio isn’t just selling to the highest bidder. (Spong)

Richard Wolstencroft, the Australian man who DARED to show a private screening of the banned Bruce LaBruce film LA Zombie has finally settled with the local government and was ordered to pay $750 to the Royal Children’s Hospital. I’m torn because on one hand a children’s hospital received a charitable donation and on the other hand a dude had his home invaded for showing a movie. (Sydney Morning Herald)

Here’s a new TV spot for The Walking Dead on DVD. Check it out after the break. (Dread Central)
