If Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick get their way, the movie could yet become a TV series (that’s what it started out as, by the way). I would be okay with this. There’s a video interview with the duo after the break. (MTV Movies Blog)

Casting rumors for AMC’s TV adaptation of Walking Dead alert! Three names emerge, including the dude who plays Jacob on Lost. I vote for him. (Big Shiny Robot)

There’s a new Dead Rising 2 gameplay clip making the rounds. It looks a lot like the original game, which is comforting. You can watch it after the break. (Kotaku)

The faux film poster for the new Left 4 Dead 2 DLC “The Passing” is out. And you can get some more details on how the whole scenario fits into the Left 4 Dead 2 story. (Kotaku)

I’m pretty sure the existence of a zombie pickup line generator app for iPhone is a sign that the end times are here. If I am right, quake in fear, for such a thing does exist. (Examiner.com)

If you have Left 4 Dead 2 for Xbox 360 yet lack Xbox Live Gold, you can play for free next weekend. Both of you. (Zombie Command)

Yesterday’s mention of the motion-controlled version of Left 4 Dead 2 may have piqued your curiosity for this hands-on report. (Kotaku)

Over at io9, they repeated yesterday’s rumor of a MTV Dawn of the Dead series, adding a brief history of zombies on TV. (io9)

A biological attack triggers a zombie uprising in Zombie Undead, a low-budget indie premiering January 15 in in Leicester. England. Generic premise, generic title … having some trouble mustering excitement for this one. At least the trailer (embedded after the break) looks halfway decent. (Shock Till You Drop)

Finally, there’s another trailer for a (nonexistent, not in production) film called Zombie Dynamite after the break. It was supposedly made with a budget less than a dollar, but it looks quite impressive. Hell, I’d watch that movie.

It’s got to be considered strictly rumor at this point (and a damn strange and unsettling one at that) but Bloody Disgusting exclusive reported that MTV was in talks to turn Dawn of the Dead into a TV series. WTF? They say no involvement at this time by Zack Snyder, who helmed the 2004 remake, and that it will be a mix of fast and slow zombies and is “more of a spin-off.” In a double-WTF development, the story seems to have been pulled from BD‘s website for some reason, as has a story from Dread Central reporting on BD’s exclusive… Does that make it more or less likely to be true? (Bloody Disgusting)

How would you like to play Left 4 Dead via a Wii-like motion-control device? A new product being demoed at CES uses the game as its test bed. Sounds exhausting to me. (Kotaku)

Get the early scoop on the iPhone game Pro Zombie Soccer in this hands-on preview. (Zombie Command)

Remember the console-based massively multiplayer zombie game announced recently? Well Eurogamer have three pages of interview with project lead (and MMO royalty) Jeff Strain. Not a lot of specifics on when its coming or what it will be, but lots of background, inspiration and nice generalities. (Eurogamer)

In honor of Thanksgiving, someone made a great list of their favorite “zombies feasting on folks” scenes. And yes, Thanksgiving may be over, but you still have leftovers in the fridge, right? (Horror Squad)

Speaking of holiday news, Las Vegas residents can catch a December 6 screening of the upcoming Silent Night, Zombie Night with a Q&A with the filmmakers and stars afterward. There’s a trailer embedded after the break. (Dread Central)

Details are scarce yet, but it looks like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies may get adapted for TV. (Zombie Command)

Finally, I’ve been traveling in the home of the living dead (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) for family reasons, which is why updates have been so scarce. I am back later this week, expect normal updates to resume soon.

The final two Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns may have been leaked, if rumors on a Taiwanese website are to be believed. If they turn out to be true, those will be “Hard Rain” (it’s wet there) and “Dead Center” (mall!).  (Kotaku)

And this list of achievements from Left 4 Dead 2 seems to verify those are, indeed, the final two campaigns. It also reveals two new items. You can find the new items in a list after the break, for the very spoiler-sensitive.(Xbox360Achievments.org)

Liberal writer David Sirota explains that the zombie zeitgeist is a side effect of the current political culture. (AlterNet)
