The results are in and the winners have been announced in the 2010 Zombie Safe House Competition. There were some really, really good entries this year and I hope this contest continues. (Arch Daily)

Brett Pierce, the co-director of the zombie comedy Deadheads, sat down for an awesome Q&A about the making of the film. (Blood Sprayer)

In this awesome video after the break, two amateur backyard scientists test our favorite movie weapons to determine Will It Kill A Zombie. As they couldn’t find an actual zombie at the time of filming, they instead chose to use a coconut. (Buy Zombie)

I’ve seen a lot of strange trailers since I started working here, and every now and again it’s nice to come across one that makes good use of cheap HD cameras and video editing software. Nazi Werewolf Zombie Inferno (I shit you not) looks promising, and the makers of the film are using the trailer in an attempt to stir up some production capital. Let’s hope they succeed. Check out the trailer after the break. (Buy Zombie)

Personally, I love the music and lyrics that Kanye West gives us, and his latest music video that also features zombies, along with the rest of the supernatural horde, is nothing less than awesome. The video requires age verification, so just follow this link to watch it on YouTube. (FEARnet)

Didn’t complete Dead Space? Well, first off, shame on you! It’s alright though, as any gamesave, complete or not, in the original Dead Space, unlocks the OG Plasma Cutter in Dead Space 2. (Kotaku)

If you have been infected by the zombie strain, don’t forget to register with the Supernatural Registration Authority so you can enjoy all the perks and benefits that come with being a member of the undead horde. (Buy Zombie)

Finally, Ryan Thompson, the man behind the upcoming film Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption, wrote in to tell us that production has almost wrapped on the film save for some last minute post shots for some awesome desert scenes. It will premiere at the end of March at the Royal Oaks Theater “March Zombie Madness” festival and will have a limited theater release after that. We look forward to seeing the finished product and we’ll keep you informed of any further news

The Inevitable Zombie Podcast episode 005 has arrived!

Posted by Johnathon Brock On December - 23 - 2010

Greetings, undead masses! Johnathon reporting in to unveil the latest episode of the Inevitable Zombie Podcast

Now there are several different ways to get the Inevitable Zombie Podcast.

Episode 005 – 10 directors that NEED to direct a zombie movie…

Hosts – Cory Casciato and Johnathon Brock

Run Time: 1 Hour 04 Minutes 03 Seconds

Show Notes

This week Cory and I discussed the top 10 directors who need to direct a zombie movie, but never have. Also, we wrapped up the 2010 year with a look back at what Cory was looking forward to, and what we are looking forward to in 2011. No real show notes because it’s a list show, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise of who we picked.

However, here is a link to Cory’s original post about his most wanted directors for a zombie project.

And here is a link to Cory’s 2010 most wanted and most anticipated zombie projects in general.

(Read both of them after you listen to the show…. or before… whatever)

One final note… This podcast isn’t too graphic, but it is labeled Not Safe For Work. We drop the f-bomb on more than one occasion and talk about some of the more graphic images of The Walking Dead in show and comic form, as well as some of the other things we discuss. Just a heads up for those of you listening at your work cubes—wear headphones.

Alright, that’s it, go listen to it and let us know what you think in the comments. Tell us what you’d like to see from us on future shows, make fun of my impressions, or ask some questions for next week’s show.

~Johnathon

Coming off the heels of a slow news week, today is much, much better. We’ve got trailers, Trailers, TRAILERS! (all trailers are after the break)
