Alright, let’s start off the day with a HUGE pile of Dead Island news, which has taken the world by storm after that amazing trailer.

Speaking of movies, Christopher Smith recently gave an interview on his new film Black Death and stated that he was never actually considered to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and read the news on the Internet like everyone else. (Entertainment Weekly)

It looks like The Walking Dead video game will be heavily influenced by the comic book and is scheduled for a Christmas 2011 release. (MTV)

If you thought the Bruce Campbell officiated wedding at ZomBCon last year was awesome, then check out the photo gallery from this Left 4 Dead inspired wedding. (Kotaku)

At last, there’s a teaser trailer for Rose: The 3D Zombie Puppet Musical. All is right with the world. (Fangoria)

Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespe is now in talks to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I think I’m going to start a betting pool to see how long this one lasts. (Cinema Blend)

Here’s some highlights from the creative writing seminar that World War Z author Max Brooks recently gave at the University of North Carolina. (The Blue Banner)

Zombo, an interactive talking zombie for your iPhone, is free for the next three days, so don’t hesitate to pick this one up. I would, but I’ve busted the oh-so-precious glass screen on my iPhone so I’ll probably miss this deal. There’s a little trailer for the game after the break. (Buy Zombie)

Just in time for Valentine’s Day we bring you Zombie Love Song, a cool little animated music video from Ray Johnson and the Atomic Beats. (io9)

I’d like to take a minute to discuss two things. First, today is the birthday of one mister George A. Romero, the original king of the undead. Let’s hope he continues to bring us amazing films even after he’s died and inevitably returned from the dead.

Second, speaking of birthdays, it’s the 3rd BIRTHDAY for the Inevitable Zombie Apocalypse. Three years ago today Cory Casciato decided to give us the best bits of zombie news, reviews, and editorials that we desperately wanted. I’ve been lucky to be a part of this endeavor over the last few months and I hope I can still be a part of it for years to come. Thanks Cory, you’re pretty awesome…. Also, “BRAINS…..!”

Alright, enough sappy stuff… Onto the news!

We can now relive our childhood memories of giant babies and chainsaw wielding maniacs because Zombies Ate My Neighbors is heading to the big screen. This is quite possibly the first video game to movie treatment I’m excited for.  (First Showing)

Thomas Newman gives a lengthy interview about his latest indie film Bong of the Dead. (BC Local News)

Crash, Hawthorne, and The Shield writer Glenn Mazzara has just joined the writing staff for The Walking Dead. I feel the property is in safe hands. (Deadline)

1408 scribe Matthew Greenberg is penning the script for the remake of Pet Cemetery. As long as it’s got undead kids, I’m in. (LA Times)

Aaaaannnd it’s dead again… Christopher Smith has already turned down the chance to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I really hope at this point Natalie Portman can just get her money back. (Buy Zombie)

It’s a blast from the past because after the break we’ve got the 15 minute zombie short film Drag by director Mark Pavia. (Dread Central)

In the wake of the recent Pride and Prejudice and Zombies news, former director possibility David O. Russell decided to speak up as to why he turned down the project in the first place. (Wall Street Journal)

If you’re a fan of the insanely popular game Minecraft, then you obviously hate zombies and the problems they cause. This handy, printable little zombie survival guide might help keep you prepared for your own zombie apocalypse, block by block. (Geekosystem)

I Love Zombie is an insane little Tamagotchi-esque game just released in Japan. (No word yet on an American release.) After the break, check out the trailer and a short little video of what will probably become a popular meme, the “zombie dance”. (The Average Gamer)

Ilari Kuittinen, CEO of Housemarque games, gives a nice interview about the success of Dead Nation on the PS3 this past December. (Casual Gaming)

Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd (who’s quickly becoming my favorite source for news on the show) recently gave an interview about the series, and why it worked. (Hollywood Reporter)

I don’t know what to make of this video. It’s some kind of active reality game that uses motion control to put you standing outside of a holding tank full of zombies, locked into some kind of staring contest. I’m assuming it’s a tech demo of some kind, but it looks very cool and I’d love to see a practical application. (Randommization)

Well it looks like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies just went back into development hell. Mike White has reportedly stepped off the project due to previous obligations with HBO. I honestly can’t say I’m sad to hear the news as I felt that Mike White wasn’t right to direct the film, but I’m sad that the movie is once again on hiatus. (Deadline)

I stumbled upon this weird little trailer (after the break) for The Zombie Farm, which looks like a cross between horror, mad science, and government conspiracy. You be the judge. (Buy Zombie)

I’ve got some game play footage for Dead Space on the iPhone, and it honestly looks very well done. I’ll probably pick this up at some point. (Kotaku)

Horror author John Skipp is looking to expand his media universe by creating Rose, a “3D zombie puppet musical”. (I’m not kidding…) Check out the promo video after the break and if you like it, toss a few dollars his way, as the project is currently taking donations through Kickstarter. (Dread Central)

Just a quick note that Pro Zombie Soccer: Apocalypse Edition has been delayed for the iPad. It will be released on January 20. (Pocket Full of Apps)

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After will hit stores on March 22 and we’ll finally get to see what Steve Hockensmith has in store for us to end his amazing series. (Buy Zombie)

Speaking of books, Zombielicious by Timothy McGivney, (which has the WORST cover art in book history) has just been released for the Kindle. No details yet on a print release. (Buy Zombie)

We can’t embed it, but we’ve got the new Dead Space 2 trailer, along with an awesome interview by executive producer Steve Papoutis. (io9)

After the break we’ve got the latest episode of Bite Me, the free to view web series that’s been pretty great so far. In case you missed the first two I’ve re-posted those as well. (Buy Zombie)

Here’s some great pictures and the new teaser poster for the civil war zombie flick Exit Humanity. (Dread Central)

And just for fun, here’s every gory, gruesome zombie death from this season of The Walking Dead crammed into just over a minute. (io9)
