An awesome digital ad that showed Queen Mary I of England turning into a zombie has been removed, for the reason that it terrified children. English kids, nut the hell up and stop ruining the awesome for the rest of us! (Telegraph)

A car full of revelers dressed as zombies crashed Friday near Portland, Oregon. No one was seriously hurt, but ti took witnesses a while to figure that out, thanks to the makeup. (KGW)

San Diego Comic Con attendees will have a shit-ton of zombie events to attend, including panels on Resident Evil: Afterlife, Max Brooks, Dead Rising 2 and zombie fiction — and that’s just what’s happening on Saturday, July 24! (Dread Central)

If you are going to San Diego Comic Con you must not miss the awesome Walking Dead panel Friday July 23 at 11:30 a.m., with most of the cast, director Frank Darabont, creator Robert Kirkman, effects guy Greg Nicotero and pretty much every other goddamn important person on the show, They’ll be talking, answering questions and, oh yeah, showing an exclusive preview! (Dread Central)

Max Brooks (The Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z) does another great, must-read interview. So go read it. (Onion AV Club)

It’s kind of old to be news, but here’s an interesting article on some scientific reasons to believe in zombies (and other supernatural beasties). (Mental Floss)

Rumor has it that Michelle Maxwell MacLaren, whose directing credits include Breaking Bad and the X-Files, will direct an episode of The Walking Dead‘s first season. (Arrow in the Head)

Though not completely comprehensive, Zombie Command has put together an impressive list of zombie movies currently in development. (Zombie Command)

The save system in Dead Rising 2 will be less annoying/punishing than the save system in the original. Thank god. That was one of my key changes that the sequel needed to make. (Kotaku)

What is it about Florida? Apparently Okeechobee County has an official zombie apocalypse plan (warning: PDF link). To be fair, who knows how official it really is, but it looks wordy and convoluted enough to be a real country document and the site it is on seems more or less legit.
