Dame (and what a dame she is…) Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, and Gillian “X Files” Anderson are set to star in the zombie “costume drama” The Curse of the Buxom Strumpet. This is one movie I will not miss, as it involves three of my favorite British actors and zombies. (Metro UK)

If you’ve got up to six friends that love zombies, then you’ll be in for a great party when you buy The Walking Dead board game, which goes on sale later this year for about forty dollars. (MTV)

After the break, check out the latest teaser trailer for Dead Island and soak in the zombie killing joy mixed with a cool island breeze. (Den of Geek)

Goldilocks in Zombie Land got a small update this week and the crew behind the book alerted the fans that it will be on sale May 27 at Comicpalooza in Houston, Texas with a variant cover. It will be available from ComiXology after that. (Buy Zombie)

Paul W.S. Anderson, the man who brought us three pretty damn good Resident Evil movies and one great one, finally revealed the secret of his muse. He actually gets hours and hours of game play footage from kids playing the game from start to finish and uses that as inspiration. (Kotaku)

After the break, check out this little short film starring second and third graders from a local arts school in their own zombie movie and say “D’aaaawwww” with the rest of us. (Best Week Ever)

When pointing and clicking is no longer an option, leave it to the fans to create a zombie apocalypse mod for a popular first person shooter, and then break the mold by adding head tracking technology to make it a truly first person experience. Check out this amazing video after the break. (Gamer Front)

Speaking of zombie games, after the break check out the pre-trailer for Zombie Apocalypse Mobile, which uses real time GPS to make player vs player combat a genuinely personal experience. The game is expected to arrive later this year. (Buy Zombie)

Milla Jovovich is very protective of the Resident Evil franchise. She’s so protective that when asked if the next film is going to be titled RE: Begins (which was apparently an April Fool’s Joke) she corrected her fans, on twitter, before the title had been officially announced. For those wondering, the next film will be titled Resident Evil: Retribution. (Kotaku)

Jumping on the bandwagon of the upcoming Evil Dead game for the iOS devices, MGM has just launched Army of Darkness: Defense this past weekend. It’s a tower defense style game which takes cues from the climactic finale of the series third film. (Fangoria)

Here’s a great write up of a local campus game of Humans vs Zombies at the University of Minnesota. (MN Daily)

Cinematographer Robert Richardson has signed on for World War Z and it’s looking to begin principal photography overseas as early as next month. It looks like it isn’t dead after all. (Screen Junkies)

After the break, check out the trailer for Dead Rising 2: Off The Record which looks to be a standalone game featuring everyone’s favorite camera wielding reporter. (Buy Zombie)

Everything I read about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City makes it sound better and better. It’s been confirmed in this story that it will be a military squad shooter, but inflicting non lethal damage on your enemies will draw blood, causing rogue zombies to be drawn to whomever you just shot. Yeah, I’m excited too. (Kotaku)

It looks like Brad Pitt’s baby World War Z might have a chance despite the agreement to a PG-13 rating. Skydance Productions is looking to take up the budgetary slack that Paramount doesn’t want to pay for. (Screen Crave)

Two Miami locals are bringing some great home made zombie video goodness to the web with the Zombiecast. (Miami New Times)

Even more details have been released for the upcoming game Dead Island. I hope it’s good, because right now it looks like a mash up of every zombie game ever made. (Game Rant)

They’re re-making the spectacularly crappy Plan 9 from Outer Space and if you live in Virginia they’re casting zombie extras. (On Location Vacations)

WiiWare is releasing what I can only guess is a zombie game based around the Playstation 2 Grand Theft Auto driving engine. It looks pretty terrible, but if you want to check it out for yourself it’s called Zombii Attack. (Dread Central)

Now for a REAL video game, check out the details for the upcoming Resident Evil: Raccoon City due out this Winter. It’s a third person shooter wherein you get to play an Umbrella security guard watching the events from Resident Evil 2 (the best in the series) unfold right before your eyes. (Kotaku)

We found an awesome interview with Melissa McBride, who played the wife beaten, husband decapitating Carol on The Walking Dead. (Dread Central)

World War Z, the film based on the amazing book, is in trouble. Apparently even after agreeing to a PG-13 rating (ugh) Paramount still wants co-financiers to help with the 125 million dollar price tag. (io9)

Thanks to twitter, Sienna Guillory, the actress that played Jill Valentine in previous installments, has leaked some info as to the upcoming Resident Evil sequel. (Bloody Disgusting)

Apparently a zombie hanging from a tree is too much for the ESRB because the Dead Island logo has officially been censored in the US. (Kotaku)

Just a quick note that SyFy (I still hate that name) is planning to launch their made for TV epic Zombie Apocalypse in October, probably to hone in on The Walking Dead ratings. (TV Guide)

If you live in Pittsburgh and you need to know how to defend yourself from the zombie horde then good news! There’s a class that teaches just that. (Dormont Brookline Patch)

Robert Kirkman gives a lengthy interview about The Walking Dead season 2 (which comes out in October unfortunately) and the upcoming video game. (Buy Zombie)

You know that awesome trailer for Dead Island everyone was raving about for the last two weeks? Turns out none of that is in the actual game. I’m starting to think this was all a ploy to make a movie and a crappy game will be released around the same time. (Kotaku)

After the break check out this tech demo for Zombie Holdout, which will employ the Microsoft Kinect to put you on the frontline of the zombie apocalypse. (Buy Zombie)

Also after the break we’ve got the US trailer for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night featuring a Constantine-esque Brandon Routh. (Ain’t It Cool News)
