The third set visit for The Walking Dead (TV) has hit the ‘nets. This time we learn about casting, music and why it’s good the first season is only six episodes. (Dread Central)

Two clips from Resident Evil: Afterlife have appeared online. You can see them both embedded below and fans will be happy to hear that they continue the ridiculous comic-book-style action movie absurdisms of the series in fine fashion. (FEARnet)

Big Walking Dead (TV) news! We have a premiere date (October 31) and a trailer (the same one shown at Comic Con, but not shitty/bootlegged now). See it embedded below and prepare for the awesome. The initial episode will run 90 minutes, with the other five clocking in at 60. (AMCTV)

In other Walking Dead (TV) news, Frank Darabont talks to MTV about Andrew Lincoln and has some good things to say. (MTV Splash Page)

Read an interview with The Walking Dead (TV) cinematographer David Boyd about the similarities to Westerns, Firefly (which he also worked on, a great sign!) and other great tidbits. (AMCTV)

Zombie TV is the Next Big Thing, apparently, as SyFy has its own zombie series, called Zeros (Zombie Extermination and Removal Operations), in the works. This one tilts toward comedy. (Dread Central)

Some footage from Italian TV has leaked for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night and it appears the movie does, indeed, have some zombies. Yay! Also, attractive, young Italian women seem into Dylan Dog, so all you zombie nerds that have a hard time meeting women should think about becoming fans. The master of zombology Dr. Dale Seslick (of How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse) gets his interview on and talks about zombie pets, zombie misconceptions and the benefits of the zombie apocalypse, among other topics. (Total Sci-Fi Online)

Just caught word of The Night Shift, a horror-adventure-comedy indie film about an undead cemetery watchman, his limbless corpse companion and the zombies and other beasties he has to fight. Valve is making some adjustments to Left 4 Dead 2 multiplayer to make it less likely to induce “rage quitting” among players. Good for them. (Kotaku)

Good news! The World War Z movie is still on and Brad Pitt is attached to star. Also, Zombie Survival Guide and ZSG: Recorded Attacks have also been optioned. It’s a franchise! Supposedly the first one (WWZ) is still being directed by Marc Forster and is coming fall 2012. We’ll see. (MTV Movies Blog)

Before settling on Las Vegas as a setting for Dead Rising‘s sequel, the original plan was to set Dead Rising 2 in Disneyland. Also, you can download Dead Rising: Case Zero on Xbox Live (only) August 31 for $5. (Kotaku)
