As usual, here’s the inside scoop on The Walking Dead after last night’s AMAZING episode…

• The numbers are still coming in strong as The Walking Dead pulled in 4.8 million viewers last night. (zap2it)
• Emma Bell, who plays little sister Amy on the show, gave an interview, and she brought an exclusive clip from next week’s episode (after the break) as well. (Dread Central)
• Right on schedule, creator Robert Kirkman gave his weekly recap interview of the latest episode. (Entertainment Weekly)
• Zombie expert and special effects genius Joe Giles talked about acting on The Walking Dead, and working on the special effects that stun us on a weekly basis. (Pop Eater)

We have no idea what it is, but Valve will be releasing some surprise Left 4 Dead news during the Spike Video Game Awards airing on December 11. (Game Planet UK)

Even thought a director was just announced, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is invading facebook, twitter, the blog-o-sphere, and even online dating sites with an impressive viral marketing campaign. (Entertainment Weekly)

We talked briefly about the zombie active reality game over at the University of New Mexico that took place recently, and it appears that it caused quite a bit of backlash with some local citizens. (Daily Lobo)

Speaking of gaming, it appears that even LARP (Live Action Role Playing) isn’t immune to the zombie apocalypse, as the new game Zombie Cataclysm is surprisingly interesting. (Fangoria)

This isn’t really news by any means, but because it’s awesome, I’ve got video of the custom made Left 4 Dead (PC) map that completely re-creates Helm’s Deep from Lord of the Rings. I hate LotR, but I love zombies, so it’s a wash. (Kotaku)

This week we discuss The Walking Dead episode 2: Guts, and the upcoming World of the Living Dead online browser based MMO. We also single out some regular commenters on the site and talk about some upcoming movies, including the mysterious but recently popular Swedish zombie flick ZON261. There’s some talk about how we feel about Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and their choice for a director, followed by why we hate Meghan Fox and why she should stay away from zombie movies. We wrap it up with some talk about zombie romance, and why it won’t and shouldn’t reach the levels that Twilight has with vampires. Enjoy!

Spoilers for The Walking Dead as a series in comic book and future episode form occur from minutes 20 to 26 and we mark them in the podcast, so make sure to avoid that area if you don’t want to know what’s in store.

One final note… This podcast isn’t too graphic, but it is labeled Not Safe For Work. We drop the f-bomb on more than one occasion and talk about some of the more graphic images of The Walking Dead in show and comic form, as well as some of the other things we discuss. Just a heads up for those of you listening at your work cubes—wear headphones.
