This piece of custom firepower from the fine folks at DoubleStar weapons is the last thing you’ll ever need in the zombie apocalypse. Check it out in action after the break. (Dvice)

The Resident Evil franchise had a pretty big week. Capcom released the first trailer for Resident Evil 6 and from the cut scenes and game play footage it looks like the story will be more of a return to the classic environment, with some new action elements that will be a welcome addition. Check it out after the break. (UberGizmo)

The trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution also dropped last week. Check it out after the break, along with a nice interview with Milla Jovovich. It looks like they’re pulling out all the stops on this one. EVERYONE from the previous films returns, and I’m still not sure how that’s possible, but I’m excited. (Hit Fix)

Indie zombie flick Zompocalypso failed to raise the then thousand it needed for production on Kickstarter so now they’ve moved to a new fundraising site in hopes of making twenty four thousand. (Edit: here’s the actual fundraising site, per comment below: http://www.indiegogo.com/CORNBRED) That’s not really how it works, but I wish them the best of luck. I’d link to their trailer, but it’s listed as private on youtube. (Patch)

Here’s a nice write up of the Murfreesboro Anime and Comic Con that I was at this past weekend. None of you came to buy my books, so I’m disappointed in all of you… Shameless plugs aside, the real star of the con was Madison Lintz who plays Sophia on The Walking Dead. I got the chance to speak with her and she’s genuinely a cool, down to earth actress. (Murfreesboro Post)

Zombies vs Robots has been a pretty good seller for IDW comics and they’re capitalizing on that by releasing some direct download digital comics for .99 cents a piece through several e-reader formats. (Comic Book Resources)

After the break, check out a teaser and the pilot episode from the upcoming zombie webseries Livin’ With Steve, an animated comedy that looks better than most of the Fox networks Sunday night lineup. (Horror Movies Canada)

It looks like the fine folks behind the REC franchise have licensed their property to the video game world but not in a way we’d hope for. The first REC game which will be a first person shooter will debut next year on the smart phone (android, iOS) devices for about $3. (Bloody Disgusting)

You’ve probably seen this movie across all the torrent sites perfectly legal streaming movie services in the past year or so, but indie UK hit Zombie Driftwood is still looking for US distribution. Check out the trailer after the break. (Dread Central)

After the break, check out the teaser trailer for Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection which aims to be a “companion piece” to the original classic film rather than an attempt at a reboot or sequel. (Dread Central)

David Fincher drops a short comment this week that The Goon movie is still in his caring arms and will hopefully find some money next year. For those that missed it, you can see the test trailer after the break. (Dread Central)

The entire 9 minute Left 4 Dead fan film is now online and you should drop everything you’re doing and check it out below. (Kotaku)

We’ve got some fresh screen caps from Nazis at the Center of the Earth and I think this is shaping up to be a fine, fine historical look at post World War 2 developments. (Dread Central)

Here’s some impressive screenshots and a new trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City which will hopefully hit shelves early next year. (Buy Zombie)

Zombie Godfather George A. Romero sent in his personal letter of support to the fundraiser to save the iconic location used during the filming of Night of the Living Dead. It’s good to see the original creator support what I feel is a worthwhile cause. (The Republic)

Every other piece of news I have today is a video, and you can catch them all after the break.

If you’re a fan of text based video games or choose your own adventure then you HAVE to pick up Zombie Exodus on the iOS. It looks incredible! (Okay, not “looks” incredible, since it’s text, but you know what I mean.) (PR Web)

After the break, check out episode two of the new webseries Resident Evil: First Hour. (Dread Central)

Milla Jovovich wishes us a merry Christmas from the set of Resident Evil: Retribution in this fun clip after the break. (Dread Central)

Saving the best for last, check out this trailer for I Survived a Zombie Holocaust which looks like Tropic Thunder for the zombie movie genre. Seriously I think this will be campy and poorly made but hilarious, so keep it on your radar. (Quiet Earth)

Also after the break, make sure to check out the trailers for Dorm of the Dead and 2 (yes, that’s really the title, just 2) which both look low budget but very entertaining. (Buy Zombie)

If there was ever a kickstarter campaign to fund in an effort to save humanity in the zombie apocalypse, it’s the kickstarter campaign to fund the Global Village Construction Set which contains everything you need to rebuild civilization without turning over power to those that hoarded books before the attacks. (Earth Techling)

Popular zombie manga Rain For the Dead is headed to the big screen. It’s actually a cool premise. In a world overrun with the dead, the only safe time to be outside is during a rainstorm, when your human scent is masked to those that would prefer to eat you. (Comic Book Movie)

Techland, the development team behind the amazingly popular game Dead Island, has filed a trademark for the name Dead World. I think we all know what that means. (PlayStation Universe)
