The results are in and the winners have been announced in the 2010 Zombie Safe House Competition. There were some really, really good entries this year and I hope this contest continues. (Arch Daily)

Brett Pierce, the co-director of the zombie comedy Deadheads, sat down for an awesome Q&A about the making of the film. (Blood Sprayer)

In this awesome video after the break, two amateur backyard scientists test our favorite movie weapons to determine Will It Kill A Zombie. As they couldn’t find an actual zombie at the time of filming, they instead chose to use a coconut. (Buy Zombie)

I’ve seen a lot of strange trailers since I started working here, and every now and again it’s nice to come across one that makes good use of cheap HD cameras and video editing software. Nazi Werewolf Zombie Inferno (I shit you not) looks promising, and the makers of the film are using the trailer in an attempt to stir up some production capital. Let’s hope they succeed. The 17th Annual Victoria Film Festival is doing a salute to zombies. The festival will take place February 4 through 13 in Victoria, BC. (Times Colonist)

The genius staff at Paramount have squired Boy Scouts vs. Zombies, a script written by a couple of Disney alums. No word yet whether the movie will be family friendly or gut wrenching horror. (Dread Central)

It was a powerhouse weekend for both The Walking Dead and zombie news in general, so first we’ll get started with our favorite zombie apocalypse television show.
