The Becoming: Outbreak by Jessica Meigs would just be another novel in the mountain of zombie fiction, but there’s a catch. She wrote the entire thing over the course of two years, on nothing but Blackberry mobile phones. (Buy Zombie)

Teen angst is finally hitting the networks as CW, who brought us Smallville (which I honestly still watch, I’m sorry) recently picked up Awakenings, a teen drama about a zombie apocalypse aimed at the young female crowd. (Deadline)

I’m officially excited Pride and Prejudice and Zombies again! After David O. Russel and Mike White left, Lionsgate is now turning to Christopher Smith, a director with actual horror credentials, to direct the movie. Let’s hope it pans out this time around. (Quiet Earth)

Former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash has started Slasher Films in an effort to be more like Rob Zombie, I guess. One of the first movies in his bullpen is The Other Kingdom which will feature zombie goodness and what I can only hope will be an awesome soundtrack, if Axl Rose doesn’t sue. (Belfast Telegraph)

If you love zombies and have a kid, then these ZOMBIEZOO toys might be right up your alley. Check out the trailer after the break. (Dread Central)

Telltale games won’t disclose the property, but they’ve said in a recent interview that they are working on a game “based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as some know it.” So let’s just say they’re making The Walking Dead into a video game and call it a day. (Kotaku)

I don’t know what to make of this video. It’s some kind of active reality game that uses motion control to put you standing outside of a holding tank full of zombies, locked into some kind of staring contest. I’m assuming it’s a tech demo of some kind, but it looks very cool and I’d love to see a practical application. (Randommization)

Well it looks like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies just went back into development hell. Mike White has reportedly stepped off the project due to previous obligations with HBO. I honestly can’t say I’m sad to hear the news as I felt that Mike White wasn’t right to direct the film, but I’m sad that the movie is once again on hiatus. (Deadline)

I stumbled upon this weird little trailer (after the break) for The Zombie Farm, which looks like a cross between horror, mad science, and government conspiracy. You be the judge. (Buy Zombie)

I’ve got some game play footage for Dead Space on the iPhone, and it honestly looks very well done. I’ll probably pick this up at some point. (Kotaku)
