There are three brief TV spots for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Only one is remotely worth sitting through the obnoxious commercials that precedes them; I’ve helpfully embedded that one below. (Dread Central)
There’s a whole load of hi-res shots of Resident Evil: Apocalypse to look at! Don’t forget, it starts Friday. (Bloody Disgusting)
If you prefer the talky bits, sit down and read this interview with Resident Evil: Afterlife actor Wentworth Miller. Or this one with Ali Larter. (Ain’t It Cool News)
Or look at a new, zombie-filled TV spot for Resident Evil: Afterlife (it’s embedded below). (UGO)
Director Reuben Fleischer talks about his plans for Zombieland 2 3D and his childlike love of 3D movies. (MTV)
Get a look at the making of Dead Rising 2 in a video developer’s diary embedded below for you. There’s some good footage of the game in action, plus insight into the story to be found within. (Buy Zombie)
Director Zack Snyder talks about Army of the Dead, a movie about a Las Vegas full of zombies that he’d like to make. (EW Pop Watch)
The University of Baltimore has a full course on the zombie in pop culture. First, coolest class ever. Second, I wonder if they know I am available as a guest speaker? (Baltimore Sun)
There’s a new trailer for Eaters, the upcoming new Italian zombie movie. It’s one of the films I picked as one of my top ten most anticipated zombie projects of 2010! You can see the trailer embedded below. (Dread Central)
Next February 5, the plan is for Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption (sequel to Zombie Apocalypse, reviewed here) to get its Michigan (and possibly world?) premiere at the Ionia Horror Film Fest in Ionia, Michigan (that links to the home page, where the article currently is, but there’s no permalink, so it may not be up for long). Word is, Fred Williamson is starring, which is news to me! (Phoenix EV)
Chicago gets a zombie fest to benefit wounded soldiers this September 25. Bands, makeup contest and more! (Buy Zombie)
In a dangerous yet fairly awesome publicity stunt, the mad scientists over at Harcos Labs (maker of Zombie Blood energy potion) filled an intersection with folks in zombie makeup, then deliberately ran a red light to get a one-of-a-kind photo from the red-light camera.
If killing zombies with your guitar controller in Rock of the Dead isn’t abstract enough, how about using your drum controller to kill zombies in the upcoming Drumskulls? There’s some video of the game being demoed embedded below for you. (Kotaku)
Kind of hard to believe, but the site’s been around for just a touch more than eighteen months now. In that time, I’ve amassed more than 600 posts and almost a thousand comments on said posts (thanks for the feedback!), all of which means, if you’re new, or don’t visit the site on a regular basis, you might have missed some cool stuff. And the last thing I would want is for you to miss some cool stuff, especially if it was cool stuff I wrote, so I’ve gone back and compiled a list of the top ten posts on the site since its humble beginnings in February 2009. Without further ado, here are those posts…
