New Yorkers, you can catch REC 2 on December 5-6 (that’s this weekend, in case your calendar is out of date) as part of the Spanish Cinema Now festival held by the Film Society of Lincoln Center. (Fangoria)

If you were getting excited about the rumored TV miniseries adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, you can stop. It’s another cruel Internet hoax. (Bloody Disgusting)

That “killing zombies with heavily armed cars” game Zombie Driver is out on GamersGate and Steam now. Go, download, kill — there’s no bad way to off zombies. (Kotaku)

Speaking of motorized vehicles and zombie mayhem, Capcom commissioned someone to make a Resident Evil motorcycle. And it looks pretty badass. (Kotaku)

It’s official: Zombieland will get a sequel and it will be in 3D. Director Ruben Fleischer is signed on to return, the writing team behind the original (Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick) is already at work and talks are in progress for stars Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg to return. (Variety)

The voice cast for the upcoming animated prequel Night of the Living Dead: Origins is coming together. The latest report on the matter names six actors –  Jesse Corti, Danielle Harris, Bill Moseley, Joe Pilato, Alona Tal and Cornell Womack — but not the previously mentioned Mos Def. Hopefully that’s just an oversight. (The Hollywood Reporter)

The Onion News Network reported on the GOP’s latest effort to find a new face — Zombie Reagan. (Note: If you are unfamiliar with The Onion, it is satire.) The video is embedded for you after the break. (The Onion)

There’s not a ton of new info in it, but if you’re breathlessly following every development in the upcoming Undead Labs MMOZ game, here’s another generality filled interview with lead Jeff Strain. (The Feed)

Paul Naschy is dead at 75, after a bout with cancer. The legendary horror actor/writer/director was responsible for Vengeance of the Zombies, so it warrants a mention here. RIP, Mr. Naschy. Unless, you know, you want to come back as a zombie. (Bloody Disgusting)

This week’s DVD releases include Deader Country, about a “strange hybrid creature, a beast that is half man, half alien and ALL zombie.” (Fangoria)

Word is Left 4 Dead 2 has sold over 2 million copies in two weeks. Holy Zombie Apocalypse! And yes, one of those copies was bought by me. Look for a reaction or review piece soon, and add cope (that’s me) as a friend on Xbox Live if you want to kill some zombies together. (Kotaku)

Did you like Zombieland? Would you like a sequel? How about that Zombieland sequel in 3D? It could happen, although I thought you were supposed to hold off until the third installment for the 3D version. (Moviehole)

Remember the console-based massively multiplayer zombie game announced recently? Well Eurogamer have three pages of interview with project lead (and MMO royalty) Jeff Strain. Not a lot of specifics on when its coming or what it will be, but lots of background, inspiration and nice generalities. (Eurogamer)

In honor of Thanksgiving, someone made a great list of their favorite “zombies feasting on folks” scenes. And yes, Thanksgiving may be over, but you still have leftovers in the fridge, right? (Horror Squad)

Speaking of holiday news, Las Vegas residents can catch a December 6 screening of the upcoming Silent Night, Zombie Night with a Q&A with the filmmakers and stars afterward. There’s a trailer embedded after the break. (Dread Central)

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting more info on Crackdown 2, eagerly await no more. Kotaku has a gallery of art and screens that includes a few good looks at the mutant/zombie monsters you’ll be kicking, shooting and shoot-kicking. (Kotaku)

Details are scarce yet, but it looks like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies may get adapted for TV. (Zombie Command)

What is planned for the Midnight Riders, the fictional biker band in Left 4 Dead 2? Only Valve knows for sure, but Kotaku is happy to speculate. They’re also happy to tell you how to make fictional stock car racer Jimmy Gibbs Jr. appear as a zombie on the PC version. (Kotaku)

If you’re a PC gamer who “preloaded” Left 4 Dead 2 via Steam, you’ll be able to play at 12 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, wherever you live — that’s like three hours early for West Coasters! Xbox 360 dudes, you still have to stand in line outside a GameStop until the witching hour tonight to play. (Kotaku)

Looks like you’ll be able to pick up Zombieland on DVD come February 2, 2010. (Bloody Disgusting)
