Here’s a surprisingly detailed news write up of A Plague So Pleasant, a zombie movie currently being filmed in Athens, Georgia. You may remember Georgia as the film state for other great undead works such as The Walking Dead and Zombieland. (Online Athens)

Speaking of detailed write ups, there’s a lot of good history in this article about the remake of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, and a shocking news update that Danny Elfman (who’s done the music for every one of Burton’s previous works) will score the film. Hey, the dog comes back from the dead. It’s zombie related! Also, I love Frankenweenie and want to see it done like the Nightmare Before Christmas. (Dread Central)

It seems that Mireille Enos, star of that other hit show on AMC called The Killing, is now set to be a part of the upcoming movie World War Z. (The Examiner)

I really hope all of the internet marketing for Dylan Dog is going to make up for the complete lack of television advertising. I don’t want to see it become another Scott Pilgrim. None the less, here’s an awesome little interview with Kevin Munroe, the director of the film. (Crave Online)

It might be a slow news day, but that doesn’t mean it’s not one of the best news days we’ve ever had. Now it’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of Call of Duty: Black Ops (to which I lovingly refer to as “CODBLOPS” or just “BLOPS”) but this new trailer has changed my mind. They’ve basically taken all of the military shooter garbage out of the game, replaced the cast with Danny “Mexican Bruce Willis” Trejo, Sarah Michelle “I was fucking Buffy” Gellar, Robert “I’ll haunt your dreams” Englund, and Michael “I’m always the bad guy” Rooker, and taken inspiration from George “The grandfather of all things zombie” Romero to make an entirely new game about a group of survivors running from the undead. It’s part of the new Escalation downloadable content pack and will be called Call of the Dead. Check out the retro 70’s trailer after the break. For the love of God watch the trailer! (Gamertag Radio)

For you comic book fans we’ve got a nice preview from the upcoming title ’68 which combines zombies and the Vietnam War. (USA Today)

I really hope this movie gets made. It’s called COOTIES and it’s about a zombie outbreak at a primary school. That should be enough to get any investor on board. (Ain’t It Cool News)

Dread Central scores again with another interview with a cast member from The Walking Dead. This time they got the inside scoop from the short lived but beloved Jacqui played by Jeryl Prescott. (Dread Central)

Here’s two more hilarious production photos from the upcoming film Dylan Dog. (Fangoria)

We’ve got a lot of great videos today so I’m just going to point out now that all video content is listed after the break. Now on to business…

There’s a great write up of a Humans vs Zombies game that went on between Tulane and Loyola which ended this past weekend. (The Hullabaloo)

After the success the crew of the Humans vs Zombies movie had shooting in Pittsburg, Texas one formerly local film producer  has set her sights on the city to shoot her own zombie movie. (Daily Tribune)

Here’s the first set of teaser images from the upcoming flick Cockneys vs Zombies. (io9)

Although I have no idea how this relates to the game at all, here’s a pretty interesting interview with the actor who played the father in that very emotional trailer for the upcoming game Dead Island. (Fangoria)

and now to those videos I promised…
