It looks like Kevin Bacon will be the next actor to grace the cast of R.I.P.D. (Hollywood.com)

Well, it might have taken five years, and the movie was already in production (as you know), but A Little Bit Zombie finally reached its million dollar goal that it needed for production. Congratulations! (Net News Ledger)

Here’s another good hands on preview with some more multiplayer details and storyline development for Dead Island. I can’t wait for the game to come out so I can make “…well the book was better” jokes. (Digital Spy)

We’ve got some new screenshots and info for Zombie Apocalypse 2, the follow up game to the popular first entry which will be available soon on the Xbox Live Marketplace. (Examiner)

In relatively dumb news, it looks like Dead Island, the video game with more hype than a Tyson fight in the 90’s, is getting made into a book. That’s right, one of those things with paper that you read. (Kotaku)

It looks like the wait for season two of The Walking Dead will get a little bit shorter. They’re going to make some webisodes to tide over the fans until the October premiere. (Bloody Disgusting)

Gale Anne Hurd recently gave an interview about filming during season two of The Walking Dead, but nothing was mentioned of Frank Darabont. (Buy Zombie)

Speaking of Darabont, it looks like it didn’t take long for him to be replaced as showrunner. Glen Mazzaara, who penned a season one episode and is one of the remaining writers that stuck around for season two, will be taking the throne as the man who keep the show going. Good luck sir! (Deadline)

We’ve got some early info about Project Zomboid, a pc based, simple graphics style survival horror game that just might fill the gap between Dead Island and whatever other zombie game we’re anxious to play. (The Faster Times)

It looks like a large collection of popular sci-fi television stars are making their way to the Chiller network’s zombie movie debut Remains. (Dread Central)

Michael Rooker drops a few hints about season two of The Walking Dead and proves that, while he’s the villain in everything he stars in, he’s still a funny guy. (Fangoria)

At long last, the CDC gets serious about the impending zombie apocalypse. (CDC Public Health Matters Blog)

Professor John Latto of Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology won the UC Santa Barbara’s second annual zombie debates this past weekend. Follow the link for the details of what looked to be a pretty interesting series of talks. (Daily Nexus)

After the break, check out this little short film starring second and third graders from a local arts school in their own zombie movie and say “D’aaaawwww” with the rest of us. (Best Week Ever)

When pointing and clicking is no longer an option, leave it to the fans to create a zombie apocalypse mod for a popular first person shooter, and then break the mold by adding head tracking technology to make it a truly first person experience. Speaking of zombie games, after the break check out the pre-trailer for Zombie Apocalypse Mobile, which uses real time GPS to make player vs player combat a genuinely personal experience. The game is expected to arrive later this year. (Buy Zombie)

Milla Jovovich is very protective of the Resident Evil franchise. She’s so protective that when asked if the next film is going to be titled RE: Begins (which was apparently an April Fool’s Joke) she corrected her fans, on twitter, before the title had been officially announced. For those wondering, the next film will be titled Resident Evil: Retribution. (Kotaku)

Jumping on the bandwagon of the upcoming Evil Dead game for the iOS devices, MGM has just launched Army of Darkness: Defense this past weekend. It’s a tower defense style game which takes cues from the climactic finale of the series third film. (Fangoria)

Just in time for International Nurses Day, students at the University of Calgary have developed Nurses against Zombieism, a fun little browser based game. (Calgary Herald)

The cover art for The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor, the first of three planned books set in Kirkman’s zombie universe, was put online today for the world to see. (Fangoria)

Zombiewood Pines, a funny webseries about a gated community trying to survive after the zombie apocalypse, is set to return this weekend. Check out some of their first episodes after the break. (Dread Central)

Chris King, lead singer of the Chris King Maneuver, dropped us a line to share his band’s latest song Zombie! with us.
