Actor Jesse Eisenberg dropped some rather disheartening information about the Zombieland sequel during a recent interview. At least the script is being worked on though. (Comic Book Movie)

Some very early set pics featuring a zombie torn World War Z have already surfaced. It’s good to see the production moving along quickly. (Shock Till You Drop)

After the break, check out some game play trailers for Dead Block, the zombie defense game that hits Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network this month. (Co-Optimus)

The Boston Playwrights’ Theatre’s New Exhibition Room is having a fundraiser and they’re holding zombie survival classes to help pay the bills. (The Phoenix)

High School of the Dead, the semi-popular anime based on the comic book series, will be airing on the Xfinity (Comcast) on demand service for about a dollar an episode the entire month of July. (Anime News Network)

Haley Joel Osment, the creepy kid from The Sixth Sense and creepier teenager from his DUI photo will play the even creepier Doctor Frankenstein in Wake the Dead, a retelling of the classic story. (Dread Central)

According to a recent report actress Emma Stone was offered the lead role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but did not accept. This is only confirmed by one source at this time, but it’s another huge blow to an already troubled production. I hope Natalie Portman can get a refund. (Deadline)

Bollywood is tackling the tough subject matter of the “zom-com” and we can expect the first entry, Go Goa Gone, hopefully later this year. It’s got a bunch of people I’ve never heard of, but apparently they’re HUGE in India. (Bollywood Hungama)

Philadelphia residents are pretty pissed about losing a fifty million dollar boost to the economy when World War Z took the film overseas to Scotland. (Mother Nature Network)

In other news, the county of Malta (where most of World War Z is being filmed) is super excited to have a fifty million dollar boost to their economy. Funny how that works… (Times of Malta)

Connecticut Light and Power has shut down the electricity powering a local Ramada Inn over unpaid bills and bounced checks. That really sucks for the crew filming the zombie movie Remains, which is now in their own private zombie apocalypse. (The Day)

After the news that the city of Leicester was unprepared for a zombie invasion based off of public inquiry, the public decided to test the city by staging a mock zombie apocalypse. That’s what you call dedication. (Newslite)

The upcoming Annihilation add on for Call of Duty: Black Ops will have another zombie filled, but celebrity cameo defficient map and multiplayer mission. Personally I think this was a last minute addition to capitalize on the previous expansion. (Dread Central)

ParaNorman, the animated zombie movie from the team that brought us Coraline, just added a few more heavy hitters, as well as an award winning composer, to it’s cast. (Bleeding Cool)

Brad Pitt takes zombies very, very seriously. While filming World War Z, he’s put the wife and kids up in an 18th century fortress just in case a few of those zombie extras turn out to be the real deal. Okay, so maybe it’s just because he’s a rich bastard, but it’s still cool. (Showbiz Spy)

Henry Cho, the lead creator behind the upcoming multiplayer iOS game Zombiehood, answers a few questions about what may end up being a pretty cool game if they get the iPhone’s location services involved. (Australian Gamer)

After the break, check out the trailer for Safe Zone, a game which combines two of my favorite things: the zombie apocalypse and The Oregon Trail. Follow the link in the article to check out the game’s kickstarter campaign if you want to donate a few bucks to the development. (Voodoo Extreme – IGN)

Jason Ozubko dropped us a line this week to let us know that his game Zombie Wasteland Goners is currently in production and they’re looking to drum up some excitement. Goners is an online zombie board game that looks to incorporate all of the aspects of the classic Mafia (the community game where the other players are secretly playing against you, but you don’t know who they are or what their goals may be) style game play with classic zombie survival action. Head over to the site to learn more about it.
